As July draws to a close, we enter the strange world of John 8:1-11. Strange you say? Well, there has been a debate going on for centuries about whether or not this passage is authentic, whether it belongs in the Bible at all, and whether it belongs here in John. And that doesn't even get to the varied interpretations! We will speak briefly to the first, more extensively to the second, and will not answer the perennial question, "What did Jesus write in the dirt?"
