One Thing Leads to Another
This week's passage in Mark moves back to Jesus' conflict with the Pharisees. Issues about hand washing and caring for aging parents. What could be more relevant? But the first issue does not really speak specifically to our time, but does speak to all times and all people. We think about the legalism and ritualism that so attract and so distract from the Gospel. The second is about finding work-arounds to God's Law. Always a danger also.
